Built to test anywhere, by anyone
Vidiia exists to democratise molecular testing with low-cost, portable, AI-powered diagnostics that can be used anywhere, by anyone.
Founded in a pandemic. Now built for everywhere.
Vidiia was founded through collaboration between the University of Surrey, Lancaster University and Brunel University London. During the pandemic, we transformed pioneering LAMP chemistry, using AI-LAMP®, into a COVID-19 test in record time. The result was 98 percent sensitivity, 100 percent specificity, and UK Government approval under the Medical Devices Coronavirus Test Device Regulations.
Today, headquartered in Bristol, we build on that foundation to take molecular diagnostics out of the lab and into the places they are most needed.
Our Story
Mission and Ambition
'To democratise molecular testing with low-cost, portable, AI-powered diagnostics that can be used anywhere, by anyone.'

Who are Vidiia?
Vidiia build the Vidiia Hunter platform: hardware, reagents, rapid sample preparation and software designed for the point of care.
We work with companies within human health, veterinary, agri-food and environmental to develop deployable molecular diagnostics.
We develop and supply custom sample preparation and platform components for integration into molecular workflows.
The Journey
From the centralised lab to the most remote setting.
Most molecular diagnostics today live at Centralised Labs or Institutional sites: gold-standard accuracy, but tethered to specialist infrastructure, trained operators and slow turnaround.
Lateral flow tests deliver low cost, speed and are easily deployed, but cannot meet molecular performance. The market has been waiting for the bridge.
Vidiia delivers molecular-grade answers at Proximal and Domestic sites today. Ultra-Remote is where the market is heading. We are closer to that destination than any other molecular platform.
'We beleive we are closer to that destination than any other molecular platform.'
